The Remedial Massage Services We Offer

2 Sisters Massage Clinic Offers the Following Services:

Remedial Massage – is a deep massage performed to help the body heal and return to optimal health after an injury. Remedial Massage helps to remove blockages, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions left after injury. It is used to speed up recovery and encourages a more complete healing. Remedial massage is also commonly used to heal conditions caused by an active or stressful lifestyle. It is designed to increase the flow of blood and lymph, particularly in the injured areas.
Relaxation Massage - is a system of long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration and shaking motions that apply pressure between muscles and bones. Rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart helps the body detoxify naturally while shedding tension related to stress. Relaxation Massage feels good, is relaxing, and thoroughly rejuvenating.
Dry Needling - is the use of a needle for muscle pain therapy. It is sometimes referred to as intramuscular stimulation. In the treatment of trigger points for persons with myofascial pain syndrome, dry needling is an invasive procedure in which a filiform needle is inserted into the skin and muscle directly at a myofascial trigger point. A myofascial trigger point consists of multiple contraction knots, which are related to the production and maintenance of the pain cycle

Healing Services

Deep Tissue Massage - is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface muscle layer.
Pregnancy Massage – reduces swelling in the hands and feet while preparing the muscles used in childbirth. Pregnancy massage helps you to maintain good posture during a time when the constantly changing body makes it difficult to practice good posture.
Sports Massage - is a type of massage that is specifically tailored to sporting injuries or ailments or otherwise injuries due to an active lifestyle. This massage therapy can be vigorous and is meant to stimulate and heal. Contrary to its name, sports massage is not only utilised by professional sportspeople or people that exercise heavily. It is of benefit to anyone that is active or exercises, even if it is only mild activity such as regular walking.
Hot Stone Massage – is where Natural Basalt Stones are placed in water and heated before being used. The Therapist uses the heated, smooth, flat basalt stones as an extension of their hands to massage, and for strategic placement on the body. The stones are commonly placed on specific points on the back but can be placed on other areas of the body such as between the toes, or in the palms of the hands. A nice relaxing alternative to massage as the heat from the stones opens the muscle fibres allowing the heat to penetrate deeply.
Reiki Treatment – is pronounced Ray-Key and is one of the most ancient healing arts known to humankind. The meaning of Reiki is split into two parts, Rei meaning universal energy or cosmic life force, and Ki which is the flowing life force or energy which links everything. This is also known as Chi, Prana or Bio-energy. Reiki is applied by the hands, through the palms, and is used for stress reduction and relaxation which promotes healing. Reiki treats the whole person (body, mind, emotions, and spirit) which allows for self-healing and a state of equilibrium.
